49ers edge rusher Mykel Williams is returning just in the nick of time.

San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Mykel Williams is reportedly set to return from the physically unable to perform list ahead of a Week 5 divisional matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Writer Zane Gelphman argues that Williams' presence will create severe problems for Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, who struggled against pressure in Week 4.
With Nick Bosa currently sidelined, Gelphman notes that Williams joins pass rushers Osa Odighizuwa and Keion White to challenge Seattle's offense. Gelphman believes a reinforced defensive front will capitalize on Darnold's vulnerabilities under duress and alleviate pressure on 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
