The Seattle Seahawks are offically signing RB Joe Mixon to their practice squad.

The Seattle Seahawks have reversed course on signing free agent running back Joe Mixon following a physical with the team. Mixon, who missed the entire 2025 season with a foot injury, will remain an unsigned free agent. Head coach Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider are reportedly opting to stick with their current internal options at the position.
Seattle's backfield currently relies on a committee featuring Emmanuel Wilson and George Holani after rookie Jadarian Price joined Zach Charbonnet on injured reserve. The Seahawks' offense is averaging 110.3 rushing yards per game this season, ranking 13th in the league despite ongoing injuries across the roster.
