The Seattle Seahawks could be without Charles Cross following their win over the Chiefs, but Mike Macdonald isn't ready to accept a reported recovery timeline.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald pushed back against reports establishing a recovery timeline for starting left tackle Charles Cross. Cross exited the Seahawks' 20-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on October 25 with an ankle injury. Although NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Cross suffered a high-ankle sprain and is expected to miss one to two weeks, Macdonald clarified that the timeline did not originate from him or the team's medical staff.
Macdonald stated the team is treating the injury day by day and has not discussed placing Cross on injured reserve. Cross' availability remains uncertain for the upcoming Monday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears on November 2. If Cross is sidelined, veteran offensive tackle Josh Jones is expected to fill in at left tackle.
