Rob Staton examines the potential for the Seattle Seahawks to trade for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of the trade deadline. ESPN reported that Indianapolis made Taylor available, reportedly seeking a package similar to the Christian McCaffrey trade, while Tom Pelissero reported an offer including a second-round pick was already rejected.
Staton argues that a trade is plausible given Seattle's championship window and current running back uncertainties involving Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price. He believes Indianapolis's asking price may ultimately fall to a second-round pick and an additional future selection, which could help Seattle manage the salary cap.
