The NFL fined Seattle Seahawks players DeMarcus Lawrence and Brady Russell following their team's 33-31 defeat against the Washington Commanders. Defensive end Lawrence received a $17,111 fine for an uncalled hit on quarterback Marcus Mariota during the second quarter. Fullback and special teams contributor Russell was penalized $11,111 for an away-from-the-play infraction after knocking over tight end Colston Yankoff following a fair catch on a punt.
Neither violation was flagged during the contest, and neither offense will count toward a potential suspension under league rules. Punter Michael Dickson was not deemed to have been fouled, and no players on the Washington Commanders roster received fines from the matchup.
