Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald addressed wide receiver Rashid Shaheed's quiet start to the season following his three-year, $51 million contract. Macdonald expressed patience and confidence that Shaheed's production will come as the team sticks to its process, noting that target distribution has heavily favored Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Through three games, Shaheed has recorded six receptions for 53 yards on 12 targets without a receiving touchdown. In contrast, Smith-Njigba leads Seattle with 27 catches, 405 receiving yards, and six touchdowns as the 2-1 Seahawks prepare to host the Los Angeles Chargers.
