The Seattle Seahawks released wide receiver Julian Hicks from the practice squad on Wednesday, ending another brief chapter in one of the more unsettled roster sagas of the team’s 2026 season, the team announced.
The Seattle Seahawks released wide receiver Julian Hicks and safety D’Anthony Bell from the practice squad on Wednesday ahead of their Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. To fill the vacant practice squad spots, Seattle signed wide receiver Malick Meiga and linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo following a 2-1 start to the season.
The transaction marks the third time the Seahawks have parted ways with Hicks since first signing him on Aug. 17. An undrafted free agent in 2024 out of Albany, Hicks previously spent two seasons primarily on the Green Bay Packers' practice squad.
