The Seahawks added two to their practice squad Wednesday, including quarterback Adrian Martinez.

The Seattle Seahawks signed quarterback Adrian Martinez and linebacker Jamie Sheriff to their practice squad on Wednesday. To make room for the additions, the team released linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo and receiver Malick Meiga. Martinez provides quarterback depth behind Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe following a quad injury to starter Sam Darnold.
Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that Darnold is considered week to week and will not be placed on injured reserve, though he is ruled out for Sunday's game against Arizona. Martinez previously earned UFL MVP honors with the Birmingham Stallions and spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, while Sheriff returns to Seattle after a stint on the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad.
