Buccaneers Rookie Keionte Scott Makes Statement With First NFL Sack…

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie defensive back Keionte Scott continued his emergence as the team's starting nickel cornerback during Week Six. Despite Tampa Bay's 26-19 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the fourth-round draft pick delivered a standout defensive performance by recording a career-high eight tackles and his first career NFL sack on quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Head coach Todd Bowles commended Scott's preparation, fundamental technique, and physical tackling. The former Miami standout has accumulated 32 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack through six games while ranking third among cornerbacks with a 90.4 PFF run-defense grade.
