Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh has defended Jordan Elliott’s character after the NFL franchise released the defensive tackle following a shocking incident in a parking lot where he attempted to retrieve a gun after an altercation with a teammate.
The Tennessee Titans released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott following an incident at the team facility where he retrieved a firearm after an altercation with teammate JC Latham. Titans head coach Robert Saleh addressed the release, defending Elliott's character despite the franchise's strict policy regarding weapons on facility property.
Saleh described the incident as a terrible lapse in judgment and a call for help rather than a criminal act. He stated he would advocate for Elliott's character and playing ability to any of the 31 other NFL franchises considering signing the defensive tackle.
