The Washington Commanders announced four roster moves on Saturday ahead of their Week 5 matchup. The team officially activated defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. from the physically unable to perform list and signed linebacker Austin Keys to the active roster. Additionally, safety Darren Hall and wide receiver Van Jefferson were elevated to the active roster.
Wise, 32, returned to Washington this past offseason on a one-year contract after initially joining the team in 2025. Originally selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he appeared in two games for the Commanders in 2025, tallying four tackles and one tackle for loss.
