The Washington Commanders have officially ruled out six players for their Week 5 matchup against the New York Giants. The sidelined players include quarterback Marcus Mariota, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, defensive end Charles Omenihu, and safeties Nick Cross, Tyler Owens, and Percy Butler.
Mariota reportedly faces two to three weeks on the sidelines due to an MCL sprain, though he will not be placed on injured reserve. Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed the team is managing Mariota's recovery similarly to a previous preseason knee injury.
