The Washington Commanders released rookie defensive tackle Jeffrey M’ba from their practice squad on Wednesday. The move was made to create roster space to sign former New England Patriots wide receiver Nick DeGennaro following an injury to Jaylin Lane.

The 6-foot-6, 312-pound M’ba originally signed as an undrafted free agent after playing collegiate football at Auburn, Purdue, and SMU. He was held on Washington's practice squad via an International Player Pathway exemption but never made a regular-season appearance.
