Alongside Granlund's appointment, the team announced Leo Carlsson, Alex Killorn, Jackson LaCombe, and Troy Terry as alternate captains for the upcoming season.
Granlund joined Anaheim as a free agent and recorded 58 points across 58 games during the 2025-26 regular season. The 34-year-old veteran center is under contract through the 2027-28 season on a three-year deal and is scheduled to reach his 1,000th career NHL game this season.
