Ahead of their season opener, the Anaheim Ducks announced several roster transactions. The team placed defenseman Drew Helleson on injured reserve and winger Troy Terry on long-term injured reserve. Additionally, Anaheim assigned centers Roger McQueen and Cruz Lucius to AHL San Diego, while recalling defensemen Tristan Luneau, Travis Mitchell, and Noah Warren to the NHL roster.
Terry is recovering from hip surgery and is expected to miss two to three months, providing $3,973,228 in LTIR relief. McQueen and Lucius initially made the roster to maximize LTIR flexibility before their reassignment. Among the recalled defensemen, Mitchell signed a two-way deal this summer, while Warren earned his first career NHL call-up.
