David Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal in the shootout for a 3-2 Boston Bruins win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night.

The Boston Bruins secured their sixth straight home victory on Monday night, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in a shootout at TD Garden. After Boston built a 2-0 lead through goals from rookie James Hagens and Morgan Geekie, Vegas rallied to force overtime with goals including a third-period equalizer from Trevor Connelly. David Pastrnak sealed the victory by scoring the lone goal in the shootout against Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart.
The game also featured a major incident early in the second period when Vegas forward Braeden Bowman received a five-minute major and game misconduct for elbowing Matthew Poitras in the face. Poitras briefly returned to the bench later in the period but did not take another shift. Boston improved to 11-4-1 on the season as they began a crucial November stretch containing nine home games.
