Boston Bruins coach Marco Sturm gives promising update on Matthew Poitras after practice on Wednesday.

Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm offered an encouraging update regarding forward Matthew Poitras, who could potentially play Thursday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Poitras participated in Wednesday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena after suffering a broken nose on Monday night against the Vegas Golden Knights, where he was struck by an elbow from Braeden Bowman.
Sturm noted that Poitras completed the full practice session, leaving his availability to be determined closer to game time. The fourth-line center has recorded four goals and three assists in 12 games this season while winning 58 percent of his faceoffs.
