The Boston Bruins are keeping things the same ahead of their back-to-back this weekend in Southern California. The Bruins hit…

Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm kept his lineup intact during Thursday's practice in Irvine, California, emphasizing offensive involvement from his defensemen ahead of a weekend back-to-back set. The Bruins, sitting atop the Atlantic Division with a 5-2-0 record after winning three straight, continued using drills designed to activate their blue line into the offensive rush automatically.
Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy remained paired together following Tuesday's victory against San Jose, while Mason Lohrei skated alongside Frederic Brunet. Sturm also confirmed that goaltender Michael DiPietro will start one of the next two games, easing the workload on Jeremy Swayman.
