The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Louis Crevier to a four-year contract extension worth $16 million, carrying an average annual value of $4 million. The 25-year-old blueliner agreed to the deal ahead of making his regular-season debut for the team, having arrived from the Chicago Blackhawks in June 2026.
Crevier joined Buffalo as part of the trade package for Bowen Byram after recording 10 goals, 22 assists, 95 blocked shots, and 124 hits in 134 career NHL appearances. Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff commended Crevier's skating and puck movement during preseason action following the player's recovery from summer shoulder surgery.
