Former Buffalo goalie earns second win for Edmonton against Seattle

Former Buffalo Sabres goaltender Devon Levi may have earned the inside track for the Edmonton Oilers' starting goaltender role in the short term. After the Oilers lost their season opener, head coach Mike Babcock started Levi in consecutive games, leading to a 9-7 victory over Vancouver and a 3-1 win against the Seattle Kraken, where Levi stopped 19 shots.
Michael Augello notes that Levi's grasp on the starting position could last until veteran goaltender Frederik Andersen returns to health. Levi was acquired by Edmonton from Buffalo during the offseason in exchange for a draft pick and originally opened the season serving as the backup to Tristan Jarry.
