Ex-Sabres Report: Logan Stanley Signs, Jonas Johansson Traded, Waiver Wire

Former Buffalo Sabres defenseman Logan Stanley has signed a one-year, $1.5 million free-agent contract with the New York Islanders. Stanley, who posted five assists in 17 regular-season games for Buffalo after being acquired from the Winnipeg Jets at the trade deadline, was not re-signed by the Sabres ahead of the upcoming regular season.

In additional roster moves involving former Sabres, the Tampa Bay Lightning traded goaltender Jonas Johansson to the Ottawa Senators for future considerations. Meanwhile, forward Alex Nylander was placed on waivers by the Calgary Flames, and defenseman Casey Fitzgerald was waived by the Florida Panthers.
