Zucker is getting closer to making his season debut after offseason surgery, but he hasn't been in the press box.

Buffalo Sabres forward Jason Zucker is on track to make his season debut Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers after recovering from August sports hernia surgery. Zucker, who avoids watching games from the press box to keep his mind adjusted to the pace at ice level, practiced Monday alongside Josh Norris and Konsta Helenius. Head coach Lindy Ruff praised the veteran's leadership and postseason experience as a vital boost for Buffalo.
Captain Rasmus Dahlin also returned to practice Monday and expressed readiness to rejoin the lineup, providing a major boost to the power play. Meanwhile, forward Ryan McLeod skated on the fourth line following a slow defensive start to the season with just two points in nine games, while Zach Benson has impressed with six assists despite not scoring a goal.
