The Sabres earned four of a possible six points in losses to Montreal and a comeback win over Toronto without their team captain.

Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin returned to practice on Monday and indicated he could play in Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The defenseman missed three games after suffering an unspecified injury during an offensive zone faceoff against Florida a week ago. Dahlin stated after practice that he believes he will be ready to return.
Without Dahlin, the Sabres managed four of six points on their recent road trip, earning overtime and shootout losses against Montreal and a 5-4 overtime victory against Toronto. Head coach Lindy Ruff praised the team's resilience during Dahlin's absence and noted that forward Tyson Kozak also returned to practice from an upper-body injury.
