Sabres veteran forward is practicing, but is not ready to come off injured reserve

Buffalo Sabres veteran forward Jason Zucker participated in an optional morning skate on Thursday as he recovers from offseason core muscle surgery. The 34-year-old winger noted that while his rehab is progressing and on track, the team has only established a soft target date and there is no definitive timeline for his return from injured reserve.
Zucker underwent surgery in early August after scoring 24 goals last season, which caused him to miss training camp and the preseason. Emphasizing the importance of not rushing back and avoiding setbacks, Zucker stated he will wait until he is at full strength before rejoining the lineup.
