The Story in 60 Seconds

Calgary Flames goaltender Devin Cooley has been placed on injured reserve and is considered week-to-week, head coach Ryan Huska announced Friday. The 29-year-old sustained a lower-body injury on Wednesday during a 4-0 defeat against the Edmonton Oilers. Cooley left the game late in the first period after Oilers forward Colton Dach crashed into the crease, with Dustin Wolf entering in relief.

Cooley had entered the matchup following a strong stretch, having started every game of Calgary's recent four-game winning streak while posting a 1.50 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage. In other team injury updates, Huska confirmed that forward Brennan Othmann is day-to-day with an upper-body issue, while Connor Zary is week-to-week following knee surgery.
