Flames roster news: Two players sent to Wranglers, camp roster down to 43

The Calgary Flames reduced their training camp roster to 43 players on Wednesday by assigning two players to the AHL's Calgary Wranglers. Defenceman Abram Wiebe and forward Luke Philp were both reassigned following Tuesday's pre-season victory over Vancouver and ahead of Thursday's matchup in Seattle.

Wiebe is waiver-exempt on an entry-level contract, while Philp is currently signed to an AHL deal. The moves leave the Flames with four goaltenders, 13 defencemen, and 26 forwards as they work toward establishing a cap-compliant 23-man roster by Monday afternoon.
