The Vancouver Canucks provided an update on their injured goaltender.

Vancouver Canucks head coach Manny Malhotra stated Monday that there is no concern goaltender Thatcher Demko will miss the entire 2026-27 season. Malhotra noted Demko is experiencing a slow recovery following hip surgery in January 2026, but confirmed the netminder is improving daily despite having no official return timeline.
Demko watched practice from the bench Monday after taking a few days off the ice over the weekend. The goaltender played 20 games last season before his injury, while Vancouver has started the current campaign with a 2-7-1 record.
