The defending 2026 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes open their season on September 29 against the Florida Panthers at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The opening-night festivities feature the raising of Carolina's championship banner following offseason celebrations and the distribution of their championship rings. The Panthers enter the matchup seeking a return to contention after winning the Stanley Cup in the two prior seasons.
Designed by Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills, Carolina's championship rings feature numbers recognizing regular-season contributors Charles-Alexis Legault, Joel Nystrom, and Bradly Nadeau alongside the team's core roster. Support staff members were also fitted for rings. The Panthers enter the game mostly healthy, though Florida will compete without Brad Marchand.
