After a very rough start, the Chicago Blackhawks are finally rolling a little bit. Coming off back-to-back wins over the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, and getting superstar Connor Bedard back, has given the young team a shot of life.
The Dallas Stars shut out the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 on Saturday night in Chicago, halting the Blackhawks' recent momentum despite the return of superstar Connor Bedard. Dallas goaltender Jake Oettinger stopped Chicago's early scoring opportunities in the first period, after which the Stars took full control of the matchup.
The Hockey Writers highlighted three main takeaways, pointing to Chicago's defensive lapses, a struggling power play that finished 0-for-4, and the clear experience gap between the contending Stars and rebuilding Blackhawks.
