Chicago Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard shed his no-contact jersey at Sunday morning’s practice. This will mark a notable step forward in his recovery from a shoulder injury sustained during off-season training.
Chicago Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard returned to full practice on Sunday morning after shedding his no-contact jersey. The milestone marks significant progress in his recovery from an offseason shoulder injury that delayed his start to the 2026-27 season. Bedard stated he is feeling good but noted he does not yet have an official target date for his regular season return.
The 21-year-old forward recently signed an extension and was named team captain prior to the season. Chicago's offense has struggled in his absence, averaging just two goals per game across their first six games, with Bedard expected to significantly alter forward combinations alongside Tyler Bertuzzi once cleared to play.
