The Chicago Blackhawks have been swept by the Florida Panthers this season following their loss on Wednesday night.

The Florida Panthers completed a season sweep of the Chicago Blackhawks with a 5-3 victory on Wednesday night in Sunrise, Florida. Florida established a 3-0 lead with goals from Sandis Vilmanis and Seth Jones beating goaltender Spencer Knight. The loss marks Chicago's fourth consecutive defeat, extending their winless streak on the road and leaving them with a 4-11-1 record through 16 games.
Chicago attempted a comeback with Roman Kantserov scoring his rookie-leading seventh goal before Frank Nazar scored twice in the third period. However, Vilmanis added his second goal of the night, and Sam Reinhart sealed the Panthers' win with an empty-net goal against goaltender Jacob Markstrom's squad.
