This Blue Jackets forward is continuing to create chatter as a top trade candidate.

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Dmitri Voronkov has been ranked as the third-highest trade candidate on NHL insider Chris Johnston's latest trade board for The Athletic. Johnston cited Voronkov's slow start, healthy scratches, and reported questions concerning his commitment level in Columbus as reasons why a fresh start might be necessary.
Voronkov has struggled early in the campaign, recording zero goals and two assists through eight games. While Michael DeRosa notes that trading Voronkov now could mean selling low, regaining his past form—having posted 23 goals and 47 points in 73 games in 2024-25—could restore his value as an asset.
