The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced today some more roster cuts, plus additional moves that seemingly frees up cap space.

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced additional training camp roster cuts and transactions to help the team achieve salary cap compliance. Nolan Lalonde, Oiva Keskinen, Luke Tuch, Charlie Elick, and Guillaume Richard were all loaned to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters. Furthermore, forward Isac Lundestrom and goaltender Elvis Merzlikins were placed on the injured non-roster list.
These roster adjustments follow Columbus signing Adam Fantilli, which left the franchise more than $1 million over the salary cap. Moving Lundestrom and Merzlikins to the injured non-roster list is expected to lead to long-term injured reserve placements before Monday's cap deadline.
