After a disappointing stint in Dallas, the scrappy winger joins Philadelphia’s gritty lineup, seeking to revitalize his career and reclaim the offensive spark that once defined his game.

The Philadelphia Flyers have officially signed former Dallas Stars forward Michael Bunting to a new contract valued at $1.2 million. The signing ends the 31-year-old winger's brief chapter in Dallas, where he had hoped to return following a postseason meeting with the franchise.
Bunting initially joined the Stars late in the season from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick. However, he struggled to find form, recording two points in 13 regular-season games and playing just one playoff contest before joining Philadelphia as a depth forward.
