A painful blocked shot sidelines the NHL’s premier penalty killer, forcing a defensive reshuffle as Kyle Capobianco enters the lineup for a critical clash against the Bruins.

Dallas Stars defenseman Esa Lindell will miss time after suffering a lower-body injury from blocking a shot against the Chicago Blackhawks. Head coach Glen Gulutzan announced Tuesday that the Finnish defenseman is expected to miss about a week initially before being evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
Lindell's absence marks the first missed game by any Stars defenseman this season amid multiple injuries across the forward lineup. Seventh defenseman Kyle Capobianco will enter the defense corps against the Boston Bruins, while Lian Bichsel and Thomas Harley take on expanded roles.
