Elliotte Friedman shares update on Edvinsson, Larkin

Elliotte Friedman of the 32 Thoughts Podcast provided updates on Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson's contract stalemate and Dylan Larkin's ongoing trade request. Red Wings interim GM Shawn Horcoff emphasized he has zero interest in trading Edvinsson, stating the organization highly values the player they drafted and developed. While Edvinsson previously voiced a preference for a trade amid protracted talks, Friedman reported that the front office strongly prefers keeping him.

Regarding Larkin, Friedman noted that a recent trip to Montreal slightly altered the situation following a positive reception, though no formal trade list includes the Canadiens yet. Friedman indicated that the development has not progressed far enough to trigger actionable trade movement, leaving Larkin's immediate future with Detroit unresolved as the situation continues.
