Jensen signed a two-year, $2.25 million AAV contract with the Ducks on July 1.

The Anaheim Ducks have placed defenseman Nick Jensen on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the AHL's San Diego Gulls, according to a report by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on Saturday. Jensen, 36, has registered one goal and one assist while averaging 15:20 of ice time through three appearances with the Ducks to start the 2026-27 regular season.
Jensen originally signed a two-year contract carrying a $2.25 million average annual value with Anaheim on July 1. The waiver placement reportedly suggests that injured defensemen Pavel Mintyukov and Ian Moore may be nearing returns, as both players skated with the team on Saturday.
