The Story in 60 Seconds

The Edmonton Oilers are facing declining attendance at Rogers Place, with an announced crowd of 16,167 for Thursday's game marking the venue's second-lowest total in history. With arena capacity set at 18,347, the club is seeing sluggish ticket sales for its upcoming homestand, outside of an expected sellout against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 24.

More than 840 primary tickets remain unsold for an October 20 matchup against the Minnesota Wild, leading to secondary market prices dropping well below face value. Additionally, over 1,400 seats are available for the Carolina Hurricanes visit and over 1,100 for the October 28 clash against the Calgary Flames.
