“With my style and who I am, I’m always going out there with the intentions to kill,” said the eight-ranked welterweight in the UFC

Eighth-ranked UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley declared his goal is to emphatically hurt Canadian opponent Mike Malott in their upcoming main event bout at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Buckley explained that his aggressive mindset is standard for the sport, stating that his intention is to finish fights decisively without personal animosity toward Malott.
Buckley views himself as the premier attraction of the card despite entering the contest on a two-fight losing skid against Kamaru Usman and Sean Brady. In contrast, eleventh-ranked Malott enters the matchup on a four-fight winning streak, though Buckley claimed the Canadian fighter lacks comparable international recognition.
