NHL 27 gives Oilers fans plenty of optimism for the new season

EA Sports has released its annual season simulation using the newly launched NHL 27 video game, projecting the Edmonton Oilers to win the 2027 Stanley Cup. According to the simulation, Connor McDavid and the Oilers defeat the Buffalo Sabres in a full seven-game series to secure the championship.

The simulation also predicts that Edmonton will finish second in the Pacific Division behind the Vegas Golden Knights before embarking on their title run. In addition to the team championship, the video game results project several individual awards for the Oilers' star players.
