The Florida Panthers have recalled forward Cole Schwindt from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers and reassigned forward Sam Lafferty to the minor-league club. Schwindt, 25, rejoins the NHL roster after posting one goal and three points across five appearances with Charlotte to begin the campaign.
Lafferty was reassigned to Charlotte to delay his waiver eligibility, as he was within five games or 14 days of requiring waivers again. The veteran forward signed an $850,000 deal this offseason and went scoreless with a -4 rating in five games with Florida.
