The Rangers' season flashed before everyone's eyes in one swift motion.

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin left Friday night's game against the Washington Capitals after suffering a scary leg injury at Capital One Arena. Shesterkin went down during the second period while defending a Capitals power play, slamming his right leg against the goal post as he scrambled to return to the crease.
Shesterkin's leg appeared to bend awkwardly during the play, and he needed assistance to leave the ice without putting weight on his right leg. The score was tied 1-1 at the time of the departure, and rookie Dylan Garand entered the game in relief.
