Kyle Palmieri scored for the first time in 11 months in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Canucks — then added the game-winning goal for good measure.

Kyle Palmieri broke his season-opening scoreless streak by scoring two goals, including the game-winner, in the New York Islanders' 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. The performance marked Palmieri's first goals in 11 months following a torn ACL that ended his previous season in November.
Teammate Cal Ritchie and head coach Pete DeBoer praised Palmieri's resilience and return to form following his lengthy rehabilitation process. Palmieri, who had discussed his early-season struggles with DeBoer just a day prior, noted that his recovery process remains ongoing as he focuses on managing his physical health.
