5 LA Kings Milestones to Keep an Eye on This Season

Several Los Angeles Kings players are approaching notable individual milestones during the early stages of the 2026-27 NHL regular season. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper entered late October just three appearances shy of 500 career games, while Adrian Kempe is 18 points away from reaching 500 career points. Additionally, Artemi Panarin sits 35 points short of 1,000 career points in his first full season with Los Angeles.

Kings captain Drew Doughty needs 11 games to hit 1,300 career NHL appearances and seven games to tie Dustin Brown for second in franchise history. Forward Quinton Byfield is also pursuing a milestone, sitting 24 goals away from 100 in his career. The article also notes the Kings will retire Anze Kopitar's No. 11 jersey on February 24, 2027.
