Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has filed for bankruptcy, claiming nearly $3.5 million in debts largely tied to civil litigation from a 2024 vehicle crash and assault allegations made by his ex-girlfriend.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Northern District of Texas. The filing lists nearly $3.5 million in liabilities against approximately $677,000 in assets. Rice reports an average monthly net income of just $3,610.31 after payroll deductions and expenses, despite gross monthly earnings of over $59,000.
The majority of Rice's debt stems from civil lawsuits connected to a multi-vehicle crash in 2024 and assault allegations from his former girlfriend. His listed assets include a 2023 Mercedes-Benz and his Super Bowl LVIII ring, which is currently being held as collateral by an attorney.
