There is still a lot of the season left after a winless first week, but Saturday night's loss to the Vegas Golden Knights was very frustrating to watch.

Goaltender Darcy Kuemper stopped 30 of 32 shots, but the Los Angeles Kings suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Artemi Panarin scored a second-period power-play goal for Los Angeles, but Mitch Marner secured the overtime victory for Vegas on a power play.
The defeat dropped the Kings to an 0-2-2 record, marking the worst season start in franchise history. Despite strong defensive efforts and key chances from Adrian Kempe and Quinton Byfield in extra time, Los Angeles struggled offensively and converted just one of three power plays.
