REIGN PREVIEW 10/11 – Ontario at Coachella Valley

The Ontario Reign return from an eight-day layoff to face the Coachella Valley Firebirds on Sunday, October 11, at Acrisure Arena. This matchup marks the third straight meeting between the two teams to start the season. Ontario won their first encounter 6-5 in overtime on October 2, while Coachella Valley bounced back with a 6-2 victory the following evening behind a hat trick from Jani Nyman.

Ontario enters the contest without forward Jared Wright, who was recalled by the Los Angeles Kings after signing a two-year extension. Meanwhile, Coachella Valley boasts a potent offense led by Nyman, Jagger Firkus, and Tyson Jugnauth, averaging 5.67 goals per game. Carter George is projected to start in goal for Ontario if their rotation continues, while Nikke Kokko and Victor Östman have shared netminding duties for the Firebirds.
