A statue of Dwayne Wade outside of the Heat's arena has been the subject of much ridicule. A new look, featuring a redesigned head, seems to much better capture the three-time champion's likeness.

Dwyane Wade's statue outside Miami's Kaseya Center has been updated with a redesigned head, two years after its initial unveiling prompted widespread jokes and criticism. Original sculptors Omri Amrany and Oscar Léon refined the portrait to deliver a closer likeness to the Miami Heat legend, unveiling the updated sculpture on Friday.
Wade explained in a Substack essay that he and the artists agreed to make adjustments after reflecting on public feedback. The statue commemorates Wade's iconic 2009 "This is my house!" celebration on the scorers' table, and the revisions were widely praised by fans.
