The Los Angeles Kings have signed winger Jared Wright to a two-year contract extension, the team announced on Saturday. The contract begins next season and carries an average annual value of $925,000, paying the league minimum salary in each year. The extension comes directly after Wright earned his first NHL recall of the season.
Wright, a 2022 sixth-round draft pick, previously split the prior campaign between the AHL's Ontario Reign and the Kings. He is expected to play a bottom-six role to cover for the injured Mats Zuccarello after registering three points in two AHL games this season.
