St. John Bosco defeated Orange Lutheran 28-14 on Friday night in Bellflower, successfully avenging their playoff loss from the previous season. Quarterback Koa Malau'ulu threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score to improve the Braves to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Trinity League play.
Sophomore receiver Kuika Moaalii caught four passes, including a 21-yard touchdown, while Ryan Christianson scored two rushing touchdowns for Orange Lutheran. The victory sets up head coach Jason Negro's squad for an upcoming matchup against top-ranked Santa Margarita.
